Renewing Your Work Spirit
Focusing time, energy
and attention toward the positive
Today,
amid a sea of change and economic uncertainty, many managers
and employees find themselves challenged to maintain a meaningful
relationship with work, to use time and energy to maximum
benefit and remain focused on positive outcomes. This interactive
half-day workshop is designed to provide the participants
with principles and tools that they can readily apply to
renew their work spirit by using time, energy and attention
to advance both personal values and corporate goals. As
a result, bottom-line productivity, individual well-being
and personal satisfaction are greatly enhanced.
This
program is comprised of the following three modules:
Module
1:
The Power of Completion
Building on the powerful principle that anything completed,
or resolved enhances our energy level and creates greater
focus, this module teaches the participants specific skills
and techniques for increasing the amount of energy, accomplishment
and vitality they experience at work. In addition a sound
methodology for dealing with all the loose ends participants
carry in their brains, keep on their desktops, or forget
in a never-ending barrage of new information, helps the
participants take effective actions, avoid 'management
by crisis' and experience a stronger sense of satisfaction.
Module
2:
The Art of Accomplishment
In
turbulent times, accomplishing work ® and personal ® goals
requires a high level of motivation and focus. In this
module participants learn how to efficiently meet their
deadlines by skillfully defining their objectives, linking
them to core values and then planning each project so
that it is integrated into a daily action list. By applying
the skills and principles presented, participants learn
how to deal with distractions, changes and interruptions,
while effectively keeping projects on track.
Module
3:
The Spirit of Collaboration
Dialogue,
respect and understanding are essential for successful
collaboration and teamwork. However, too often time pressures,
personal concerns and other distractions stop us from
really listening to or appreciating the needs of both
customers and co-workers. This module of the workshop
presents skills and techniques for collaborative conversations
that increase rapport and reduce "knee-jerk" responses
and unproductive behaviors that lead to stress in the
workplace.
This
program is three hours in length and appropriate for all
levels of management and staff. |
