Corporate Email Training Course Uses Flash to Enhance Customer Service via the Internet and Corporate Intranets
SAUSALITO, CA, March 11, 2003

Essential Email Sterling Consulting Group founders, Karen Leland and Keith Bailey – the co-authors of the best selling books “Customer Service for Dummies” and “Online Customer Service for Dummies” — yesterday announced the digital release of the web-based version of their “Essential Email: A Training Program for Online Excellence.” Originally developed as a live trainer-led program designed to improve the effectiveness of corporate email communications and online customer service, “Essential Email” is now available for corporate licensing and delivery via corporate Intranets or via the Internet.

This email training program includes seven modules, each supported by interactive exercises, voice-over narration by Karen Leland and Keith Bailey, animated graphics and digital music. The program covers a wide variety of techniques for communicating more effectively via email with customers as well as with co-workers. Subjects also include: Email Etiquette, Ethics of Email, Managing Your Mailbox, Creating Online Rapport and Effective Voicemail.

The online version of “Essential Email” uses an entertaining multimedia style presentation that was produced in Macromedia Flash in order to enable the delivery of the “Essential Email” training program via a standard web browser such as Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.

Thus, SCG is offering corporate licensees the ability to deliver this hour-long training program to “closed circuit” Intranet audiences, or they may use the Internet to make the program available to employees and staff members wherever and whenever they choose to access it. Thus, “Essential Email” is now available without the additional expenses and inconvenience that are necessary when employees must attend live training presentations.
